Help we are suffering
According to your description, your
husband is probably experiencing chronic
bone infection (osteomyelitis).
Osteomyelitis is a serious condition that
requires long time (several months)
treatment with antibiotics and, sometimes,
surgical intervention. The bone won’t
heal as long as there is infection
present. Presence of diabetes makes the
condition worse because people with
diabetes have decreased ability to
struggle with infections.
Ulcers on the foot can be due to prolonged
physical pressure (decubitus) which can
occur in patients that are immovable for
long periods of time. Ulcers can also be
due to disturbed blood circulation in the
leg (ischemia or vein stasis) and
diabetes. Even banal skin injury can be
infected and turn into an ulcer because
circulatory disorders and diabetes
decreases the local skin immunity.
Local antiseptics, antibiotics, and
treating the primary disorder are crucial
for treating skin ulcers. There are many
natural supplements that may have good
impact on wound healing because of their
local antibacterial activity. Tetrasil
is one of them.
