Im jw around when does morning sickness go away?? I actually wake up and feel fine after i eat toast...but towards night time ill feel really really sick. I eat a lot of small meals and snacks throughout the day. Even if i eat toast before i go to bed, it doesnt help. Im 11 wks today. Also i dont take my prenatal vit. until about midnight that way i sleep through it. So i know im not feeling sick b/c of the vit. Is there anything else i can try?? How long does this usually last?? When i eat i also cannot finish everything on my plate...im full after like 5 bites of something...but like i said, i still eat snacks and stuff throughout the day. I also drink a lot of water and one glass of milk a day ( i read that is healthy b/c of the calcium). I never throw up, i just always feel like it and feel like im going to pass out. My stomach also feels really really weird!
Im willing to try anything so if you have something please please let me know!!!! Thanks girls!!!

I'm not going to be much help trijos but I feel your pain!

Some days I feel pretty good for the majority of the day and others are really bad. Generally I wake up feeling queasy and it lasts till i've been at work about an hour, and i find late at night i feel pretty awful. I'm just over 10 weeks now (darn due date change lol) and i'm starting to feel better as the days go on. My doctor told me that at week 10 the placenta starts taking over production of the hormones so morning sickness should start to ease up then.

If its really a problem for you why not get a perscription for Diclectin? My doctor offered it to me but since my m/s wasn't TOO bad i decided against it. I heard it works wonders.

It can last all the way through unfortunately. I think in that case the Diclectin would be necessary!

morning sickness is different for every woman.
mine lasted about 3 months and it was terrible.
I was usually sick the most around night time too. So i tried eating soups and freeze's to have something in my stomach, i took my prenatal vitamin around the evening time too because i found any earlier made me sick.
you could try drink gatorade, i've heard it helps with it a little bit, and although yes it is a sports drink, its keeping something down in your tummy and may make you feel a little better or help then sickness.
Since you cant finish everythng on your plate, try eating waht you can, let your stomach settle, and nibble at your food here and there.
I dont know if watermelon would help, it is a watery fruit and good for you..you could try that.
Maybe some unsalted crackers, my fiancee bought me those and i lived off them for a while! Banana's too, their good for you and you could try eating some to help, i dont know if it does anything.
They say the first pregnancies are the toughest, then it gets easier with the 2nd and so on. So it really depends.
Try going for walks, staying active, fresh air helps.
I go for walks with my fiancee, we sometimes go to the mall and walk around or go out for a stroll.

Ginger ale. Ginger candies. There are prescription medications. Really, whatever works for you. Small meals throughout the day to keep your tummy from being empty.

Second pregnancies can be just as filled with morning sickness as first pregnancies. The amount of times you are pregnant doesn't matter when it comes to getting sick - EVERY pregnancy is different, even if it is the same woman.

Sometimes it gets better after the first 3 months. But that is not always the case. I had the worst case of huge pregnancy sickness. I swear it has got to be worse when you are as big as a whale and the sick starts in the middle of the night. I spent many nights sleeping (wimpering?) on the bathroom floor the last 2 months of my pregnancy.

My morning sickness lasted until I was about 12-13 weeks. By 14 weeks I felt fine. I havent experienced any sickness since then. Im now 25 weeks. But every women is different. If it does go away for you its usually by the 3-4th month when the placenta takes over. Best wishes.

I know its miserable but it will pass.

omg, I'm 12 weeks, and I still throw up almost every morning, no matter how empty or full my stomach is. Some mornings I'll just throw up stomach acid. Not much that works in helping it.

I had bad morning sickness too, and i was praying that i would not have it throughout my pregnancy.
To help your morning sickness its just what works best for you, it could be way different than other peoples cures for morning sickness.
Try the Gatorade, it might help you out a little.
I had it for 3months and a little more, it didn't matter what time of day it was, it i had just drank water or had some soup, i would puke it right up.
I took childrens gravol once -and told my doctor, he said it was fine-
I drank lemonade sometimes, and had dry toast sometimes too.
Then i slowly introduced other foods, i would put some jam on my toast or crackers, have some peanut butter, tomatoe soups..but if i felt yucky i would stay away from foods i thought would come back up.
Try putting lemon in your soup, i did that with chicken noodle soup and it tasted good! Also try a green tea, they help your tummy too. I drink pomegranet green tea sometimes its yummy!!

Ugh like Ingi I'm almost 30 weeks and I still wake up at least 3-4 times a week in the middle of the night to throw up. It's horrible, and by far my least favorite part of pregnancy. The only cure I've found is that when I wake up in the middle of the night with it, is to just throw up...I feel a hundred times better afterwards and can usually go back to sleep, other wise I'd be up for hours trying not to throw up. Definately no fun.

So true about the throwing up and getting it over with part!

What ended up working for me (not 100% mind you, but a whole lot better!!!!!) was cutting out grease and fatty foods. I still ate pizza, but without meat and less cheese. I stopped eating a lot of fats - no chips, no butter, etc. It really did help.

Yeah Ingi your right greasey foods are just not worth it. As much as I'd love some french fries right now I know I'd end up paying for it later so I just stay clear. Pizza's not to bad but really saucy stuff like Alfredo or lasagna are rough...I don't know what it is maybe cause our stomachs are getting so squished that's why foods not settling well. My Dr told me now that i'm in my 3rd trimester and my stomach will start to drop a little bit (I'm carrying really high) that it may ease up a bit as my intestines and stomach will get a little more room....I hope that's true for everyone with this problem.

yea i could try the gatorade...i really dont eat a lot of greasy food, b/c that makes me feel soooo much worse. I do eat a lot of chicken noodle soup, fruits and veggies. I also eat a lot of toast but i put butter on it, so maybe i should skip the butter. I did not know butter could make it worse.
STB7532 Im sorry to hear you still have it! I really hope i dont have it much longer. I can see how you would feel better after throwing up b/c sometimes i wish i could so i could go to sleep. Do you know what your having??

yeah i found that greasy foods made me sick faster.
i didnt eat burgers for a while, no french fries, no pizza -mind you its not good to eat alot of this stuff regardless of pregnancy.
But i found that helped and i ate healthy foods, but found fruits came back up sometimes.
like now, i love cherries and we have amazing cherries at the apple market down the street from my house, and i cant keep those down Sad so sad!
ya try toast with no butter.
maybe you could try like a cabbage soup, its healthy for you, you can throw in any veggies you want into the broth, and its really yummy!

I was sick for the first five months so I can feel your pain. Mine got so bad that I had to go on a prescription medication-zofran. It helped as long as I took it before I started feeling sick. It should get better-but it might not. In the end though, you get a beautiful baby so it is all worth it.

i will do try toast then. Those cherry pies sound good lol. I havent had turkey burgers or pork in a while...im allergic to beef so i just do chicken and pork. I dont like fish so my dr. told me i could take fish oil pills to help with brain development. My fav. soup right now is broccoli and cheese soup but it makes me feel sick sometimes...the cabbage sounds yummy.
Yea monkey i keep telling myself that and my dh every night when im not feeling well lol. That it will be worth it in the end! Thats the only thing keeping my head up Smile
