I had a short relationship with a 25 year
old girl who had a lession on her cervix.
She believed it to be caused by HPV. She
had 2 abortions. She also believe that she
could not get pregnant (by trial). Does
she necessarily have HPV? Am i likely to
have it also? I started having mild
testicular pain in my right testicle 2
months after being with her. The first
time was 3 months prior to having the
pain. I have had this mild discomfort for
a few months. I will se a doctor soon, but
I'm more concerned with having HPV. Can
anyone provide some input?
Thanks.

Men are actually the carriers of HPV that
give it to women from skin to skin
contact. I believe that men can not really
get it and have it hurt them. I'm sure
when you see your doctor he will know
more.

That is partially correct. Men are the
carriers and if you slept with a woman who
has HPV, chances are you have it too. It
is sexually transmitted.
Men aren't tested for HPV the way women
are since it doesn't usually cause
problems with men. There is a very very
low risk of having HPV related cancers in
men though. Your doctor will know more
about it.
However your pains aren't associated with
HPV.

Right- if you did have HPV, you probably
wouldn't know it. But you might still want
to get checked out for the pain, though!
