Q: Likelihood of being pregnant
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 3rd, 2009
Hi! I have a very long question, because I am very paranoid. I had a period on December 31st and it was a normal one and lasted about 5 days. Two and a half weeks before my last period that started January 30th, I started cramping. About a week after that I started spotting lightly. This month i just joined a gym and went on a no carb diet for a while because of weight gain from christmas. I also took three of the generic zovirax pills for fever blisters and I just got off of the generic prozac a little over a month ago after only being on it for a week(it gave me hives). I am on birth control and take it at the same time every day /- a few hours. I took a pregnancy test on January 24th, 27th, 30th, and febuary 1st, all of which were negative. My period that I got on January 30th was kind of light and only lasted two days. I was wondering if this could be a sign of pregnancy? But with my period I got sore and larger breast and worse cramps as usual, and the sore and larger breast went

According to the data you provided, the chances that you are pregnant are minimal. No data was given about intercourse in the middle of January when your ovulation was expected to occur. The negative pregnancy tests and your period-like vaginal bleeding also indicate that you are not pregnant. The cramps and the enlarged breast might be due to hormonal fluctuations. You might want to visit a gynecologist just to be sure about the pregnancy.
