five months ago i was crossing the street
(crosswalk even) and a car didn't see me
and nailed me. i was very lucky becasue
they were going quite fast and i flew
quite far.
it has been hell getting help. i have
found out i have a protruded / herniated
disc at C5-C6
but nobody has helped with these
conditions
-left side of back is puffed out
-right side of baci seems normal
-right side of body has attrified
if i lifet anything the left side puffs
up. off topid if i try to read my neck
starts to hurt and it feels like i have a
tempurture.
MOST OF ALL
i have a limp. from what has been looked
at, it seems my hip was pushed up and
inch. i landed on my rear end.
but my neck / spine guy isn't in that
area. he says do physical ltherapy. i do
physcial therapy and thye don't have a
clue as to what they are doing. i go in
and they really have no clue as to what to
do.
and more than that i still don't know what
is really going on with my body.
all i know is the right hip is pushed up
an inch and somehow my right leg is longer
as well.
from my limited knowledge i know the
longer i go the worst the condition will
become.
i have seen so many doctors. from what has
been seen there is no serious nerve
damage.
and since i have the pre-existing
condition of minimal scoliosis a majority
of doctors refused to even look at it.
they would just blow it off. but i was a
serious athlete and it is truly impossible
to not notice you had a limp.
besides i landed twenty feet from the car.
with all the impact hitting the left hip
and rear end. that was where the bruise
was. but it seems the right side is where
the issue is
if anyone has any clue as to who to see i
would appreciate it so much. the psych
toll it is taking on me is become quite
intense. my surroundijg people refuse to
help. if anything they find the whole
thing to be just a dramatic scene
have seen ortho people. last guy i saw.
took x ray. you have sccioulis. out the
door.
there is of course pain.
just got shot epidural in my neck but that
is a separate issue
is this strange to find no doctor to look
into the cause and effect?
sorry this is so long. thank you. hope you
are all hanging in there

Hi Reese
I am really sorry to hear about your
ordeal it must have been horrible for you.
I don't have much other advise other than
trying to find the right doctor.
I know exactly how you feel. I had
struggled for almost 6 months with a
burning pain in my left wrist. After
three cycles of anti-inflammatories and
many a physio appntment where they abused
my neck and shoulder cus it had a
spasmism, I finally got to a doctor that
diagnosed it as "Loss of cartlidge".
What's more, is that he also helped me to
confirm a dx of Marfans, with cardio
implications I might add.
The only problem now, is like what you
say...all doctors can do now, is tell me
"You have Marfans...take anti-arthritics
and anti-inflamatories". There isn't much
that they can do about my cartlidge
wearing away except eventually fusing the
problem joints.
What age are you? From what I can gather,
you might either not have enough bone
growth left to justify a brace or your
spinal curviture is not enough to warrent
surgery (Spinal fusion). The only thing
that might at least relieve nerve and
muscle aches is physio and chyro but that
would be more superficial than anything
else.
As for your hip...that sounds a bit bad.
You might want to try a Biokineticist. I
have patella-alta, meaning my knee caps
are shifted up. The Biokineticist would
at least be able to do one of the
following:
1. Address the problem muscles and/or
legiments to re-strenthen them so they
pull the hip back into place.
2. Address the muscles and/or legiments
around the affected joint to assist with
the "new location" of the hip and allow
for less painfull/uncomfortable movement.
3. Maybe even be able to help you with
some exercises to reduce the
pain/discomfort from the scoliosis.
These kind of injuries...as I have found
out...has no permanent fix. I am bound to
Biokinetiks, anti-inflamatories,
anti-arthritics, Beta-Blockers for life.
Any other problem that pops up, and there
is sure to be more still, will just have
to get in the que and be treated
individually. All that and I'm only 28
y/o.
I hope you find some help my friend. I
know how difficult it is when you have
something permanent and being labeled.
Even though these problems has to be
handled individuall, doctors still can't
seem to NOT see it outside of the full
picture, which is that Marfans for
instance is un-treatable.
Best of luck!

thank you so much for replying. you have
no idea how much that means to me. i have
an appt with a hip guy next week. i just
hope it's not a guy who only looks at your
hip. no replacemnt. thank you.
was thinking of seeing an osteopathic. but
for some reason as much as i believe in
that stuff. i would like to find out
technically what is wrong. then decide
what directionton to go into
i wish i could just find someone to give
it some thought.
thank you again
i will look up the Biokineticist. i hate
going to physiccal therapy when nobody
knows what there working on. it's pretty
depressing. it's like. let's build up the
right arm. but they don't know why it's
like that. jsut seems dumb and even i
don't know...
