The long term risks of a cesarean section considering another pregnancy include:
1. Placenta previa. This is a condition where the placenta grows low in the uterus, blocking the cervix and leading to other possible birth complications.
2. Uterine rupture. This is a condition in which the incision scar can open during a later pregnancy or labor.
3. Placenta accrete, placenta increta, placenta percreta which include growth of the placenta deeper in the uterine wall than normal, which can lead to severe bleeding after childbirth.
Whether one of these complications will occur or not, can not be foretold. Only thorough continuous check-ups can detect the anomaly in time and give enough time for preventing further complications.
