Loss of sex drive
Posted: 05-12-08 15:06pm

My sex drive has gradually been fading. I don't have erection problems, it's just that I don't think about sex anymore as I've gotten older, like I did when I was younger or even like I did last year. I'll be 49 this month and my "new" wife is suffering in silence because of it. And it's not because I'm no longer attracted to her. I just don't have the urge anymore. Does anyone know what this could be and if there are vitamins or an herbal remedy, which might help?

Have you consulted with your doctor? Testosterone levels may be depleted and may be the cause. There are some medications to treat this. Talk with your doctor. You are too young to be having these issues.

Loss of sex drive

Hello,

I am a fiance of a man that is going through this same problem. He is 40 and has no urge for sex. It has been very frustrating for me and it does really make me feel like the problem is me. I am wondering the same..is there anything he can do to help this "urge" come back and why do men lose the urge even though he is still able to have an erection but has no interest in having sex.

Thanks,

As you get older your free testosterone levels drop this could cause the problems you are having, go have your free testosterone levels checked, and if they low.

Before you start on any medication from the doctor I personally would try ZMA(Zinc monomethionine aspartate and Magnesium Aspartate), Is a balanced suplement of zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6.

I used this when I used to weight lift to increase my free testosterone levels and it worked to great efect, it used to be an expensive supplement but it has come down in price alot over the last year or so.
