Lymph nodes, swollen glands, mucous and vomiting

HI everyone, this is my first time posting here, I am worried and hope someone can help.

My boyfriend woke up a few days ago with swollen glands on the right side of his face and down into his jaw. He didn't and doesn't have a sore throat but it did hurt to swallow.

Two days ago, on the right side of this throat, there seemed to be a huge white sore in the back of it, and it is still there. He does not have a fever, he does not feel sick at all.

Throughout the whole time he has been sick, he has had a nasal drip and lots of mucous.

This morning, he woke up and vomited some phlegm and has done so three more times in the span of about 5 hours. He said he doesn't have a sore throat, doesn't feel dizzy, or have chills, it's all just centering around the swollen glands (which are not so swollen anymore) and the white sore (which is about the size of a nickel) in the back of his throat. Could the sore be bothering his gag reflexes and that is why he is vomiting the phlegm? What could it be? Is it mumps? Tonsils (he still has his). We do not have any insurance so I have no idea what to do. PLEASE any help would be appreciated.

Thank you Smile
