Memory loss & foul odor in mouth Posted: 08-02-08 10:57am
I have a friend that will have a very
short term memory loss , 30 seconds or so
and some other symptoms, which I will try
to explain and so far no one has been able
to figure out what it is. He can usually
tell when it is going to happen, but it is
so quick there is no time to do anything,
if there is anything he could do anyway.
He will start sweating and get a very
clammy feeling, he will turn very white,
chalky color, and he will also get a very
foul odor in his mouth, his breath smells
normal so it just inside his head the odor
is not always present with the other
symptoms. This whole episode will last
around 30 seconds or so, in fact he can be
sleeping and wake up and have one. These
happen sometimes when he is driving,
(scary) but appear to have no effect on
his driving and when they are over he
doesn’t remember having the episodes, he
can have 2 or 3 of these a day and then go
weeks without one. I hope I have been able
to explain it well, does this sound
familiar to anyone. He said that they have
given him every test that they could think
of.
