I read somewhere that during sex, my partner might feel the string, and it could feel like minor rope burn... Anybody with any experience? We are worried!

NO, it would not feel like rope burn. Mirena strings are stiffer than Paragard strings. It would be like using a nuva ring, he MIGHT feel something, but it is not bothersome. AS a reference.. My guy is above average.. 6'6 250 and he has a good 9 inch penis, he does not feel my paragard strings. They feel like soft hairs to my finger tips. You should feel your strings to get an idea of what they will feel like.
