I took Metronidazole (Flagyl) 250 gm..for 4 days (3 times a day which was prescribed by the doctor , without conducting pregnancy test) and on fifth day I found out that I am pregnant so I stopped taking it.
is it gonna affect my pregnancy in any ways?.
I am really scared about it. My doctor was also concerned about it so she took advice from a gynecologist specialist who told her that it should not be a problem . Now on Friday 10th July, 2009. i have an appointment with the other doctor for genetic consultation .I don know what that is but this was suggested by my doctor.
is it something i need to be scared of?

I would like to go for it only if doctor is 100% sure that ..this medicine is not gonna affect my pregnancy or any other birth defects

i took it at 5 weeks pregnant not nkowing i was pregnant too. i have the same wonders although one nurse told me it should be fine. she told me that it is better to have it treated than let the problem stay there while the baby is forming.
