i had a regular period lasting from october 14th to october 20th 2007. I didn't have another period until march 28th, this is now May 22 and i show no signs of slowing down or stopping. It has been very heavy since march but there was no cramping at all. I have gone through more than 300 tampons in the last 2 months when i usually only go through about 15 or so a month. I'm having to change about every 2 hours or i "leak through".

My stepmother is a RN and she told me that since i had gone so long without a period that my body was just shedding the "stuff". Is this a cause for concern or do i just need to be patient and let my body do what it needs to do?

I have no current medical conditions that i know of other than being diagnosed with depression and being overweight.

If you have been bleeding for nearly 2 months (metrorrhagia) you SHOULD visit a gynecologist as soon as possible.
