Asking a question on behalf of my partner
here.
She is on Microgynon 30, has been for
roughly 8 months now and last month her
period came a week early. She says she has
not missed a pill or been late.
She started bleeding again today, a week
early again. (One week early of her
usually period, but on time if you regard
her last bleeding).
She`s unsure on what to do about the pill
now.
As she has a week of pill to go before her
break when she is supposed to come on,
does she stop taking the pill for a week
now or should she continue to the next
pack (skipping the break) hopefully
bringing things back to normal?
Thanks all.

She shouldn't stop taking the pills.
Tell her to call her gynecologist.
They might need to change pills on her.

Just wanted to say that she's not pregnant
if that is what you were worrying about.
It is highly unlikely that someone taking
the pill for 8 months regularly and never
missing to become pregnant.

Thanks for the reply.
Will get her a doc appointment soon.
A second question, she is worried now as
her period is very light compaired to the
usual.
Is this something for her to be worried
about or just another side effect?

I'm not sure if it's a side effect of
not.
Usually, side effects tend to go away
after months of perfect use. 8 months
should have been plenty of time for her
body to adjust to the hormones. That would
be a question for her doctor.
Try not to let her worry too much until
she knows for sure what is going on.
Stress can take its toll on a woman's
body.
