Migraines Brought By Fumes After Sinsus Surgery Posted: 01-17-04 03:10am
Help me! I have started suffering from
migraines since I hand sinus surgery two
years ago. I am becoming more and more
sensitive to come smells around me. I
can no longer gas up my car, clean my
house using cleaners or any type,
hairspray, and even some colognes. When
my husband starts or works on his project
car, I become instantly sick with a severe
migraine. I was not alweays this way!
Is there anything I came do to reduce
having these horrible migraines?

This sounds to me like a severe allergic
reaction to these smells. My daughter,
who has never had sinus surgery,
discovered about 3 years ago (age 12) that
she is severely allergic to even the
slightest smell, heaven help if any
touches her, of anything with any type of
petroleum base, which many of the things
you mention would have, even hairspray
& colognes. My daughter is also
immune to pain killers etc so she has no
way out but fresh air & avoidance of
all such smells, easier said than done.
I suggest that you get checked for
allergies.
Then go & see a homeopathy specialist,
which may be your best bet, we have yet to
do this due to other more life threatening
issues recently with our daughter, so I
can't tell if it will work, but it's worth
a try.
Good luck.

Have you gone back to your doctor? I am
most likely going to have sinus surgery in
the next few months. I read somewhere
that if they remove too much of the
sinuses, that it can make your sinuses
more sensitive to things. It could be
this causing it. I would ask your
doctor, and if they can't offer any
relief, get a second opinion. I would
think if it was allergies, you would have
been sensitive before the surgery.

No, you can develop allergies to things at
any time even after years of being fine
with or around whatever it is. Also if
your sinuses were blocked that may have
effectively acted as a barrier &
protected you from the allergies simply
because you couldn't smell them. Like
someone who gets migraines from chocolate
is fine if they don't have them, you could
have been fine because you couldn't smell
the things.
I still think homeopathy would be your
best bet for a cure.

Multiple Chemical Sensitivty Posted: 05-11-04 03:18am
I was diagnosed with mcs (multiple
chemicial sensitivity) several years ago
and it can be quite devastating. What I
have learned is the symptoms can worsen as
time goes on because these toxins build up
in our liver.
Has anyone ever suggested you embark on a
colon and liver cleansing program? There
are many cleanses, but I recommend using
products which are gentle and do not
induce rapid detoxification.
If you would like more information on
this, please send me a private message and
I will be happy to provide additional
information and resources.
Be well,
kathy

2. . Belladonna. It is indicated in
congestive headache, when the pain is
deep-seated, is oppressive and heavy, and
the face is pale and haggard with
unconsciousness, incoherent talking and
murmuring, with drowsiness. It is also
applicable in other types of headache, the
main symptoms being that the patient
cannot lie down, nor can he bear light,
noise, jarring or draught of air.
3. Glonoine. For throbbing and congestive
headaches which come suddenly, and the
blood is felt rising up into the head with

> from uncovering the head. The
headache is aggravated from bending the

4. Gelsemium. For congestive, catarrhal

symptom being a feeling of band around the

relieved by copious urination and sleep.
The headache commences with blindness in
the occiput or the nape of the neck, and
passes over the head and settles in the
eye. It is also indicated in headaches due
to tobacco smoking.
