Migraines Vs. Sinus Headache

Hello. This is my first time posting here. Since june, I have had trouble with dizziness, eye pain, left-sided weakness, pain and pressure in sinuses, nausea, and pressure in the ear canal. I have been to one doctor after another and been tested for heart conditions, lung malfunctions, thyroid... I have not had an mri, ct or eeg. These symptoms tend to come on and stay for about 2 weeks or longer. In those two weeks I am nearly useless from the vertigo and weakness. Most recently, I saw an internal medicine specialist who said it's 'complicated migraines' and prescribed inderal. I don't hear the greatest things about inderal and am nursing a baby, so I don't want to take it. I'm also concerned that no tests have been done to ascertain that there are no underlying physiological neurological conditions. Also, this drags on so long and with the sinus pressure and ear pressure, I question the diagnosis of "complicated migraines". I don't want to take anything as serious as inderal without being pretty confident that it is mirgrainous.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Tia.

I have had headaches for over 6 wks now.My sinuses hurt.Sometimes my ears hurt,my head hurts. At first I also had a very stiff neck that hurt really bad.I went to a wknd dr that said it was my neck causing the pain since I didn't have any congestion or drainage and gave me valium for a muscle relaxer.I had already made an appt with a new dr for that following monday so I went in and she did a sinus xray. She wasn't real sure after seeing it but thought it was a sinus infection and gave me an antibiotic called omnicef. After taking it I still was hurting and she wasn't available so I went to one of her partners. She sent me for a mri and it showed sinus inflammation and mucous buildup. She gave me levaquin. It wasn't helping and I had already made an appt with a ent so I went in and he said after 17 days of antibiotics I still had a sinus infection. He gave me prednisone and a saline nasal spray. That didn't help so I went back to my original Dr.He gave me another antibiotic which I don't remember the name.He told me to come back in 2 wks and if it wasn't any better he would probably send me for a cat scan.My appt is next wednesday.Although my headache is some better my sinuses still hurt and it also hurts under my eyes.So if your sinuses hurt it could be a sinus infection even without any sinus symptoms.I would insist on a mri.
