mini pill comparison

I was wondering how the progestogen-only īmini pillī compares to the regular combination pill. I am on ortho tricyclen lo which is fine except it keeps giving me yeast infections, perhaps from the estrogen?

Has anyone tried the new mini pill Cerazette?

thanks

I haven't been on Cerazette, but I've heard it's better because you don't have to be as careful about taking it at the same time every day.

Most mini pills are just as effective, except you have to be really careful about taking them. They are more prone to failing if you miss a pill or are late. You can't be late taking mini-pills. They also don't regulate your period, though they usually still lighten it which many women like. I was on ortho micronor and I liked it just fine. The only thing I would suggest is keeping condoms around for if you are ever a little late (like, over an hour) or if you miss a pill.
