Mirena removal Posted: 04-15-08 15:30pm
Hey everyone!!
I have been on Mirena for 17 months now.
My daughter will be 2 years old this June,
so we figured now was the perfect time to
try for another baby.
This will be the first time I've actually
tried getting pregnant, my daughter was a
*pleasant surprise.*
I have an appointment with my doctor to
have the Mirena removed on April 25.
Any advice? Concerns?

Congrats!!! TTC is such a major step and I
hope we can help/support you in any
questions that you may have.
There have been a few women on here that
have had their coil removed for ttc. Most
of them had a normal cycle (with
ovulation) right away. However, it may
take a few months for your body to
readjust.
Are you planning to "go with the flow" or
to be more aggressive with things?

Happy Birthday!!!
I plan to just go with the flow. I wasn't
even trying to get pregnant the first
time, it just happened.
Hopefully I won't have any problems. My
mother isn't very supportive about it, but
it's my body! I pay my own bills and we
take care of what we need to.
This will be exciting....
I want a boy. Do any of the tricks work
for conception? (As in planning the sex of
the baby?)
