Q: Missed periods after tubal ligation

I had a Tubal Ligation about 8 months ago. Since then, I've had a few regular periods but now, I've missed two periods in a row. I've done two pregnancy tests and they come up negative. I don't have any signs of pregnancy (I have three children) and am wondering how this could be possible and what could possiby be wrong with me. Has this happened to anyone else?

I talked with my Woman about this. She also had a tubaligation. This is what she told me. After the surgery there was some bleeding and 2 months missed periods. After that they where monthly again but not always the same length of time. After about a year she missed a month entirely. The following month it returned in huge amounts. Then things went back on there normal track. Unfortunatly she started feeling more cramping than normal. eventualy she went in for an exam and was told she delveloped endometriosis (scare tissue). In the end she ended up having to have a hysterectomy.

Her doctor feels that that month she missed is when the endometriosis started. Not trying to scare you but trying to give something to relate to. My advice would be to go get an exam to make sure you are not developing endometriosis.

I myself had a tubal done about 9 months ago and at first my periods were not regular but i can say that i ever missed one. i am experiencing the worst pain in my abdominal lower left side but i have not missed a period. i did however go through some other things after my tubal and i researched them online and i everything i read went to post tubal ligation syndrome which of course doctors say don't exist. anyways i would go see a doctor and get checked out. good luck and let us know how it goes!!!

Missed periods after tubal ligation
I had a tubal done the end of August of 2008. I have had mostly regular periods (I was late in December by about 1 week cause of the stress of the holidays). Then I was on track again until March. I didn't have one like I usually would at the end of March, so I waited a few weeks, and took a pregnancy test---it came up Negative----and I still haven't had one yet and it's mid-April. I was hoping this is normal for if you have a tubal ligation, but I haven't gotten any answers about it yet.
