i missed 1 pill for 24 hours and carried on as normal as soon as i realised, i have now been having a slight period for almost a week now, i did not have intercourse during my mistake, but is my body trying to tell me something else?

If you miss the pill, you should take the missed pill as soon as you notice. This could mean you take two pills in one day. By missing the pill, your body started to go through a hormonal withdrawal, kind of like what happens during the placebo week. This can cause bleeding and/or spotting.
