Hey all, I've just started taking the pill
(Monofeme) and I'm not 100% sure if I've
been taking them correctly. When I saw my
doc I was on my last day of my period, she
told me to take the red tablet and work my
way around. Reading the leaflet from the
pack it says to take the yellow pill in
the grey shaded area from the start of
your period?!! I'm 4 days late of my
period... have I been taking these
correctly? I'm really confused, is the red
tablets for when you have your period or 7
days before you get them? HELP!
I really have no idea why your doctor told
you to start the pack by taking the
inactive (red) pills first. You should
start with the active (yellow) pills on
the first day of the period
(menstruation). Because your period was
already going on you should use additional
contraception (condom).
If your expected period is 4 days late you
should do pregnancy test as soon as
possible!
