So not really a question in particular just a bit of bad luck. So I have a beautiful 7 month old baby daughter even though I breastfed her for 6 months I still got my periods. Not that that's relevant. So my boyfriend and I had sex and the condom broke. Thinking we were being smart we bought the morning after pill. Turns out it didn't work and I got pregnant. I just found out my boyfriend has been cheating on me with the neighbour. Like how good has my luck been. So I am terminating the pregnancy I'm only 3weeks pregnant. I was just curious if anyone here had conceived despite taking the morning after pill?

Shouldn't punish the unborn baby just because your jerk of a bf cheated on you. On the other hand, this is personal choice and you know what is best for you in the end. Best of luck to you in the situation.

If he hadn't of cheated, would you still be aborting the baby?

My question was about conceiving after taking the morning after pill not about your beliefs on having an abortion. I have already had my abortion and my ex is now dating the neighbour. I'm not sure if I would of kept it if he hadn't of been like that. Anyway I am very happy now that I have him out of my life and have realised just how pathetic he is.

worrieddauzzi - I think saw19842002 has given you the pity that you have set out for, so now it's time for you to move on from it.

I am sure you have gotten others upset by your post- that's why there has been only 2 people reply to it.

If you didn't want beliefs from someone on Abortion, then don't include it in your post. It's only fair to expect others to react seeing that Abortion is a high stress topic.

You're in a forum where health topics are discussed, and I am sure that Abortion hits nerves among those that are trying to have children, very highly. If you tell others about it, expect to have feedback...that is why you came here to state it. For feedback.

If you can't take criticism and the truth, then don't post.

saw19842002 was just trying to help, seeing that you asked for it, apparently.

So just take what was given and move on - like you have.

There are multiple abortion discussion posts. This however as I stated was not written for that intention purely to ask if the morning after pill has not worked for anyone else. Whether you nannar believe me under going a termination was wrong is none of my concern and has nothing to do with my post that clearly asks about the failure rate of morning after pill.

The morning after pill can fail. A girlfriend of mine had hers fail on her. The morning after pill does NOT kill the product of conception, it just makes it so a fertilised egg cannot attach to the uterine lining. If the egg has already attached, then it will not work. The morning after pill has a 75-95% success rate.

i got pregnant after taking the morning after pill, and began to like the idea of being pregnant. i ended up miscarrying at 12 weeks. I will never take the day after pill again.
