Hi -
I am bipolar with attention deficit. Last
spring I started ritalin and noticed that
as it wore off the muscles in my legs
would not become spastic. When I lifted
my leg while seated and help my leg up my
legs would jerk up and down as I tried to
keep it in place.
A few months later my eyes went out of
focus, followed by double vision.
My legs continue to be spastic, but it
doesn't matter if I take adderall
(swithched) or not.
I also wear glasses..my eye doctor said I
have strabismus.
I never had vision problems before. My
eyes go out on really hot days.
I also have an intention tremor noticible
when I pore water. I should also mention
that a few years ago I developed an odd
condition whereby my jaw muscles seemed to
give out on me when I would speak
publicly.
This never happened before in my life.
Should I see a neurologist, or am I just
being a hypochondriac?
I am on 1200mg of Tegretol, 200mg of
Lamictal, and 30mg Adderall
Intention tremor, spastic legs and double
vision can be side effects from the
medicine Tegretol.
You can consult some neurologist and
psychiatrist about your condition.
