calculating ovulation with irregular cycles
Posted: 03-09-08 11:37am

My husband and I are DESPERATLEY trying for a baby. Last year i had a miscarriage. I had to have a d&c. Ever since that happened, my periods have ranged from 24-34 days. I have tried the ovulation kits. But I'm having a hard time to figure out when I should start taking the ovulation tests since I never know how my cycle is that month.
Any tips or advice??
Thank you.

I want to start by saying that I'm sorry for you loss. It is such a horrible thing to have to go through.

Do you temp at all? I think that would be a fantastic place to start. If you would like more information on temping just let me know and i will go into more detail.

I buy opk's in bulk. I get them off the internet for super cheap. I do this so that I can start testing as early as I would like and not go broke doing so! I suggest starting around cd10 and just continue testing until you get a +. Otherwise you might miss it and wonder why you're "late" and you might not have even ovulated yet! I know how frustrating that can be.
