My Sons Throat Doesn't Feel Normal Posted: 03-20-05 19:26pm
:?: my now 7 year old has had this problem
for 22 months. He will out of the blue
tell me his throat doesn't feel normal(no
pain) than he stops eating, drinking,
speaking and swallowing. He than vomits
moucus for a day or two and is usually
fine. On 3 occasions though the moucus
was so thick that it interfeared with his
breathing and he was hospitalized. He
has seen 18 different doctors during the
last 20 months and no one can tell me what
it is. These symptoms last year occured
every 3 weeks but now it's every other
week. He had his tonsils and adenoids
removed 8 months ago buit that didn't help
either.

Asthma? Posted: 04-06-05 18:14pm
Have you looked into it? I was diagnosed
with asthma when I was 12. They just
thought it was a cold of some kind.
Asthma can cause a lot of what you were
describing. Inhalers can open up the air
ways and break down the moucus enabling
him to cough it up. There are alos
inhalers that can prevent this from
happening at all. You may want to look
into it if you haven't already. Good
luck!
