Mysterious Skin Disorder - Help
Posted: 02-12-07 19:13pm

I don't know what it is... I've tried to diagnose myself online numerous times before but I can't find out what it is. I occasionally get these red bumps all over my body on a spontaneous basis. First, I thought it was related to heat (because I got em when I was feeling hot) so I thought it was prickly heat. My assumption was proven wrong because I still had them over the winter. Now more specifically speaking I think they're related to rising body heat temperatures. I get them when I feel anxious or when i'm hyper. I don't really get em when I play sports ( well at least not always). They appear first on my forearm, then it spreads all over including my chest, stomach, upper arm, neck, torso, and the inner leg area (excluding the genitals, and the buttocks. I do get them on my thighs right below the buttocks). I don't get them on my face and my lower leg areas. They aren't itchy, it comes like a wave of needles prickling me. It's very painful at times and it takes couple minutes before they disappear completely like they never happened. Usually, I just splash some water all over my body and take a breather when it happens. When I calm down and don't move they go away faster. They're definitely not contagious... It's just some kind of skin disorder... I don't know what causes it. It might be bacteria or allergies.

Please post you have any ideas.

Thank you

Good post healthspecialist, i've read some parts of your article (although i'm gonna go back for more intensive reading). As for my skin disorder, some of the symptoms in your article fits, but there is an issue. The fact that my rashes simply disappears in a matter of minutes is very puzzling. Most people don't even tend to notice that i'm forming rashes. I on the other hand know because I can feel the electric - like pain and notice tiny red rashes everywhere on my forearm... Then it simply disappears... I need to target in a bit more on the "skin-changes" issue. I g2g buh i'll post back later.

B.T.W i'll look up on ur friend's problem also.
