3 knee replacements as well as multiple
abdominal surgeries related to
complications related to appendictomy in
1991.
According to your post you have had nausea
and sometimes vomiting for a long time and
now headaches occurred as well. Prolonged
nausea and vomiting is typical for
presence of a metabolic disorder, a
chronic disease, or it may have a
psychogenic cause. Nausea and vomiting in
the morning indicates that you might have
a gastrointestinal or metabolic disorder
(uremia, diabetes…). It could also be
related to the abdominal surgeries that
you had in the past.
You need several diagnostic procedures to
find out the cause:
1. Physical examination (inspection and
palpation of the abdomen and neurological
examination);
2. Laboratory tests (blood count,
hemoglobin, sedimentation, glucose, CRP,
AST, ALT, alkal phosphatase, bilirubin,
creatinin, urea, amylases…);
3. Abdominal ultrasound and gastroscopy
(later).
You may want to consult an internist about
your problem.
