Negative urine test with symptoms Posted: 03-05-08 04:22am
Here's my story for you to read, to maybe
think bout what you're going through or
maybe you can help me. Now here it is
March 4th of 2008 {last period was
February 2nd - 28 day regular cycle.}.
Already past my period by about four days
now, I have a really good feeling that
wasn't my period, the bleeding I
experienced back in February {24th-27th -
the light, spotty, short,
pink/brown/burgundy red bleeding. - my
normal periods last for five days & are
heavy.} Anyways, today I went to the
doctors & they gave me a urine test, came
out negative. But the thing is I'm still
having these symptoms: nauseated -
actually threw up in my mouth alittle bit
earlier, sore breast & nipples & they seem
to be alittle bigger - atleast alittle
more cramped in my bra than usual - the
thing about them being tender is it's not
all day it really depends on what time of
day it is (as weird as that sounds), I
really don't feel myself to tell you the
truth, bloated to the extreme, starting to
use the bathroom a lot more, I actually
have what it seems like menstrual cramps
but they're not as harsh, really tired
lately but finding it hard to sleep since
my mind has been on this whole pregnancy
thing - & I have noticed I can't fall
asleep til the wee mornings then it seems
like I sleep all day & stay up all night -
although when I'm awake I feel as though I
didn't sleep enough even if I slept for
twelve hours, short frequent mild
headaches, I can see blue veins in my
breast sometimes they're not as dark as
other times so I really don't know what to
think about that.
& just as a mental note: I had unprotected
sex from February 11th through the 21st,
every day in between those days, multiple
times a day...

Take another test yourself or go get blood
work done.

I did forget to mention the urine test I
had done at the doctors was at 3:45PM.
& from my knowledge of pregnancy
tests, that are done that way, the best
time to take them are in the morning with
your first pee of the day.
Anyways, I'm thinking about going back up
to the doctors office today & picking
up a pregnancy test that way tomorrow
morning I can take it & see the
results for myself. If that comes out
negative, I'm just going to wait til my
period for this month to be due, if it
doesn't come then definitely one more
urine test, & if that just so happends
to be negative too, then blood test it is
then.
This is just really all confusing for me.
But I have read other women who didn't get
a positive till they were eight weeks or
so, some even took six months. Like they
say though, every pregnancy is different.

It is a tad bit early to feel the symptoms
of nausea; they usually don't start until
about 6 weeks. Frequent urination doesn't
usually start this early either. However,
tender breasts could be it (although its
also a sign of an oncoming period!).
I would recommend waiting a few more days
and taking a test with your first morning
urine. You seemed to be having sex during
your most fertile times so it is a
possibilty, but don't get your hopes TOO
high because remember-it takes the average
couple one year to conceive.

So you haven't even missed your period
yet? Why didn't the doctor do a blood
test? Did the doctor know you haven't
missed a period yet?
Also, your 17 and not even married, what
is the rush?

the earliest you can test if you do miss
your period is 4 days. that would give you
an accurate reading, otherwise go to the
doctor, and ask for a blood test to be
done there 100% accurate.

I thought there was another poster who
posted the exact same question in the
exact same threads.
Why do people do this? Is the desire to
be pregnant so great that they delude
themselves this way?

I started thinking something was up when I
read the line about having unprotected sex
from February 11th through the 21st, every
day in between those days, multiple times
a day...exact same story has
"hopeless"..Not to mention the profiles
match up....even have the same birthdate.
