I have TMD and it's severely impacting my
ability to enjoy life. Between the sinus
pain, excruciating headaches, toothaches,
face-aches, and jaw-aches, I sometimes
feel like driving my car into a telephone
pole.
I have seen an ENT, two dentists, a
chiropractor, a maxillofacial surgeon, a
psychologist and a psychiatrist (after the
maxillofacial surgeon told me that it was
all in my head). None of them have helped
me. My latest attempt to find relief has
lead me to a neuromuscular dentist,
however, it's not covered by my insurance,
and the cost is considerable.
If anyone out there has received any type
of TMD therapy, particularly neuromuscualr
therapy, that worked for them, please get
back to me.
Thanks

I found a dentist and had a consult. The
cost is $3700 for a dental orthotic and is
(of course) not covered by any insurance.
Does this sound about right to you?
