Nevus
Posted: 05-23-08 06:28am

I have a large mole on my leg about 10-11mm, it seems to have changed shape from oval to square. it also has a few different colours brown, dark brown, red and white. it seems to have red around the edge like it look a bit sore, it has hairs growing out of it and is on the top of my leg. i can see the different colours clearly on a photo my husband took and was zoomed in. I did show my doctor and he said it looks fine but to keep an eye on it.
I still feel a bit concerned due to the size and changes. your advice would be much appreciated. thank you.

According to your description you could have nevus. Nevus is a benign skin tumor that sometimes can turn into malignant - melanoma. Enlarging, color changing, bleeding and swelling of the nevus are signs of possible malignant transformation. I can only advise you to consult a dermatologist or plastic surgeon about that mole on your leg.
