New Hoist Machine - questions of my routine Posted: 07-05-08 19:35pm
I recently got a new gym set up in my
house about 3 weeks ago, but I'm wondering
if I'm doing enough to really reach my
goal.
It also comes with a capability of Cable
Curls, which I also use to do Upright
Cable Rows.
My main goal is try and get cut. I'm 21
years old, I'm 6'4'', and I weigh around
170~180 lbs (I haven't checked in a
while). Honestly, I'm really skinny,
except for my stomach, I like to eat! (I'm
working on it though!) Although I would
like to bulk up, it's not my main goal.
I pretty much do a full-body workout,
which really isn't much, considering I
usually get done within an hour and half
or two.
Bench Press
Inverted Bench Press? (I don't know the
name, but the machine will let me set the
default placement behind me, so I'll sit
backwards and pull backwards, as opposed
to pushing forward)
Another exercise I do, which again I don't
know the name of, is I set the default
away from me, but I'm sitting the right
way, as if to do bench presses, but as
soon as I push up, I'll invert my body at
a 45 degree angle and basically be lifting
up the whole time)
Cable Curls
Upright Cable Curls
Leg Presses
Leg Extensions
For everything, I do 5 sets of 10 reps,
except for the Leg Presses, which I'll do
5 sets of 20 reps. Working out at home,
I'm limited to what I can do, but its
easier for me to do it here, since I
hardly have time for anything else.
My main concern is if I'm doing enough. I
feel great after a workout, granted, I'm
tired, but at least I feel like I
accomplished something. Other than that,
I'm also concerned if I should be doing
this everyday. I don't want to overwork
myself, and I have noticed that I tend to
be tired much more often. Should I
consider doing this every other day? Or
maybe Mon~Thur, and taking a break for
three days?
Also, is there any other kind of exercise
that I could be doing on this machine that
I'm not? I really want to do as much as
possible with what I have.
