New tests for Endo

Endo is pretty much a sure curse for the women in my family. Both grandmothers ALL of my aunts, and my mother, have been diagnosed with Endometriosis. I was wondering if there was a new way to test for endo WITHOUT making an incision through the bellybutton. I am newly married and dont want this surgery.

I have not been to a gyno in awhile with the wedding, moving, and all. But when my period comes around I get horrible pain with any bowel movements. (basically it hurts like hell to poop!) Also cramps can be horrible. My lower back hurts and all I want to do is sleep. Yes these symptoms are well acquainted with normal menstruation but they seem to be at a greater degree of pain. If anyone has had these symptoms and been diagnosed with endo or any useful information would help greatly!

I have endo, and I used to get that pain too when I had to make a BM. The other stuff by itself could have been easily written off as just PMS, but idk, that first symptom sort of jumped out at me. Sad

I used to be in severe chronic pain from endo, but I changed my diet and now I feel much better. I cut out chocolate, caffeine, red meat and lowered my carb intake. I use one of those online food diaries so that it's easier to track exactly how much of everything I'm getting. I also quit eating fast food, and try to eat mostly fresh, real food and not as much processed items (like tv dinners etc. convenience foods are loaded with stuff you just don't need). Changing your diet could go a LONG way to managing your endo if you have it.
