Non gonococcal urethritis Posted: 08-10-08 10:12am
Hi,
I've had urinary infection more than a
month ago, i went to a different doctor
and he gave me antibiotics and urispas. it
subsided for awhile
but the burn and some slight discomfort
came back 2 weeks ago.
I went to a different doctor 3 days ago
and the doctor diagnosed me with NGU.(non
gonoccocal urethritis)
he has given me antibiotics;
bactrim(septrin) and ciprobay and also
urispas.
he also told me that if it works, it
should heal within 2-3 days.
until now i have been experiencing the
same slight discomfort.
also, i have some extra-skin on my
foreskin when retracted. i told the doctor
about it and he said it happens as it's
just the swelling.
Because when i had unprotected sex with my
partner, she was having some sort of
vaginal infection.
She also experienced urinary tract
infection. could this be the cause as to
why i contracted NGU?
some of my questions are:
how does one go about having NGU?
(elaborate more about NGU)
could it be that my partner has a form of
STD ?
How do i make the swelling under my
foreskin any better? (it seems to be
getting bigger)
Please do get back to me ASAP.
(i have not been given antibiotics for
chlamidya as the doctor has told me that
the pills were expensive)
Thanks alot.

I would recommend you to take the pills
for chlamydia. I know it's expensive...
Just save money for it.
NGU is something other than gonorrhea.
The swelling is questionable.... Are you
circumsized?
Did your partner experiences this right
after you guys have sex?
Did your symptoms alleviate by now?

Hi, sorry for the late reply, was
overseas.
anyway, just to answer some of the few
questions,
i am not circumcized, (the extra flab of
skin is still there)
my partner experience itchiness in her
vagina after we had sex and she's always
complaining of itchiness. (this was just
recent when i used a condom)
previously she had UTI before i had it..
and yes, there are no symptoms now, i do
not feel any itch or burn when i piss or
any discomfort. just that extra flab of
skin underneath my foreskin...
i went back to a doctor to have it checked
out, and he refered me to a urologist
which i havent seen yet.
