I am only for weeks. My belly is starting to get hard when I am laying on my back. Is that a bad sign or could it be normal? Should I go back t my doctors?

Yep definitely bloating. your uterus is still tucked wayyyy far inside your pelvic bone. I thought my belly was getting hard and that i was showing at around 8 weeks but boy was i wrong lol

I'm 5 months now and my uterus has popped out but i'm certainly still not showing although now its baby not bloat!
There's a pic so you can see what i mean

Oh by the way I highly doubt your having any contractions. My uterus is up past my bellybutton now at just over 20 weeks and it feels kind of hard....although at 4 weeks like i said above its certainly just bloating since its not your uterus

Your poll asks if your belly gets hard other then during contractions so I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that you thought maybe thats why your belly was hard

Every single day, a number of women go through several insidious surgical procedures like removing fibroid tumours, endometriosis, hysterectomy, and, last, but, not the least, treating ovarian cysts. Unfortunately, majority of such operations are being performed gratuitously through laparotomy. This can be attributed to the indolence of patient towards awareness of surgical alternatives. The gynaecologist also shows no interest in apprising the patient about the alternatives. The fact states that most of the operations of these types can be accomplished safely by minimally insidious laparoscopic techniques, that too, in the form of outpatient surgery.

Ok i'm still not sure what your asking then, but either way no your stomach being hard is no cause for concern. if you are worried about something though just make an appt with your OBGYN and they will be sure to answer all your questions and set your mind at ease. Thats what they're there for Smile

Like I said, just thought from the poll you might be thinking that. With this being your third pregnancy I would imagine they consider you high risk and will monitor you closely.

If you let your stomach muscles relax it wont be hard.

you are bloated. You wouldn't show this early. your baby is the size of an apple seed. You are heavily bloated, your stomach will feel harder from it. Even if you had 6 babies in there you still wouldn't be showing yet. We've all been there with the preggo bloat. It hits almost immediately and lasts most of the first trimester as you get to your 3rd month, its about then you start to actually show.
