Obsessed w/ weight -- will it end? Posted: 03-29-08 13:04pm
Hi,
Am hoping someone may be able to offer so
words of encouragement, maybe from
experience....... I was an anorexic from
about 20 yrs old and although I have
gained weight and now have a BMI of 17.5
(now 26), but I still am weight obsessed,
I still check my weight a lot and feel bad
when i see ive gained a pound. I used to
eat what i want (within reason!) and wasnt
worried and i now want to be able to order
food in a restaurant without trying to
work out the calorific content like I used
to. I figure I will always be sensitive
to weight issues but am hoping I can get
to a point where it doesnt occupy so much
of my thoughts as currently it is always
in the back of my mind. I want to be able
to just accept my body shape and size and
enjoy having curves, inside of fighting
them off.
When I see very skinny women, I can see
that actually it isnt that attractive, yet
I hate feeling an ounce of fat on my own
body.....any advice would be most
gratefully received...
