Oh I feel horrible! *Long sad story* Posted: 04-26-08 17:17pm
okay first I will start by telling you all
about Great Grandma. She lives with me at
home and she went out with her sisters to
eat lunch the other day, well on there way
out of the restraunt she fell and broke
her hip. She has been in the hospital for
6days and is recovering from surgary.
Now then I have a cat that is about 11/12
years old and she LOVES Gram, she sits
with her all day long and she is the only
cat that has ever been allowed in Grams
bed to sleep at night. She is declawed in
front and spayed. She has arthritis really
bad and loves to sleep on grandmas heated
foot thing at the end of her bed.
Well heres where I really effed up: I went
out the other night and didn't get the
back door closed all the way and we have
been having BAD storms and it was windy
and the door came open while I was gone.
The last time I saw Mickey she was looking
at me like "mom where ya going?" I came
home and she was gone! We live out in the
country... she has been gone 3 days and
the weather has been horrrible, im giving
up hope in her comming home. I don't know
how im going to tell Grandma. Mickey made
her smile, and now she's making us cry. I
have had her since she was little and she
has NEVER tried to leave before, she would
take your arm off if you even tried to
take her outside. I am beside myself. I
lost my poor old cat, and because im
careless I may have killed her by leaving
that door open. I can't belive im that
stupid! I feel so bad for Mickey and
Grandma. She's going to be so upset!
Please pray that Smickers finds her way
home, I miss her to much!

I have called our shelters and went to
look for good measure, no mickey. We live
in the middle of NOWHERE... so im sure
another animal would have found her befor
animal control. Tomorrow she will have
been gone seven days... a whole week.

try putting something of your grandma's
outside, like a shirt with her smell on
it. Maybe she'll come to that. That's
how we found my dog.

So very sorry! I have heard amazing
stories of animals being gone for a long
time and find their way back home - true
stories.
