Oral sex HIV danger ?
Posted: 06-24-08 15:43pm

Hello,

What's the danger of oral sex to vagina? Do you have any cases of people infected this way?

Last year i had sex with a woman (one night stand). I used a condom during intercourse. I received oral sex to the penis (i was wearing the condom).

But i gave to her oral sex to the vagina without any condom. Should i worry?

After one year (now) a have a lot of pimples to my back. Is this one of the symptoms?

I know that i have to be tested to be sure, but i am scared of the result. I don't know what i will do if i am positive Sad

Waiting for your reply.

Hi. Get tested just to ease the fear. Not knowing is worse than knowing. It isn't likely that HIV will be spread that way but it is possible. If you had a minute cut or abrasion in your mouth and she has HIV+ then transmition could occur. It is highly unlikely but not imposable.

Hi, about your question of having pimples on your back. While contracting HIV through oral sex is low there is still a chance so you should get tested, no matter how hard it is! While HIV positive individuals mostly suffer from flu like symptoms, fever, tremors, joint discomfort, headache, swollen glands about the head and neck, and muscle aches. A few people do complain of getting pimples, rashes, hives and many other skin irritations. Just because you have pimples on your back doesn't mean you have HIV. I've had acne on my back for several years now and I use simple Noxzema pads which does take care of most of it. But just as homerx said getting tested will ease your fear. I had to get tested for HIV myself which I did 14 weeks after the last possible exposure, which came out negative. However I still have oral thrush which is a common opportunistic infection for HIV individuals. So I still have to wait another month and a half before I can take my test at the 6 month point. All im saying is I do know how you feel and what your going through, so please for your own sake get tested and if you want write back and tell me how it went I would like to hear about it.
