ovary removal side effects Posted: 04-14-08 15:30pm
Looking for input for women who are post
hysterectomy with ovary removal at a
young age. I have endo. I don't know for
sure if this is causing my chronic pelvic
pain, pain with arousal, pain with bowel
movement and vomitting for one week pre
period with low back pain. I had a scope
about 9 years ago that showed endo. I've
read a bunch of bad stuff about Mirena IUD
and Lupron. Won't there be the same side
effects with ovary removal??? Who has had
their ovaries out at age 30 or so and did
they have problems later with bones, etc.
Anyone have success with diet changes,
such as cutting out wheat and dairy?
Is the LVH worth it for anyone or does it
just give bad side effects and pain
persists? TKS for any advice.

How long ago was your hysterectomy done?
I believe you will find a lot of your
symptoms reduced if you use a progesterone
cream, which will also work to prevent
bone loss. The best one is Happy PMS.
Google John R. Lee, M.D, and you will find
some interesting information on the
subject.
You might also want to get to a
chiropractor and ask for a mechanical
adjustment. Sometimes surgeries are so
stressful on the body that all you need to
do is put everything back into place.
Just try those things to start.

I had a vaginal hysterectomy 5 years ago
and also had my right ovary and fallopian
tube removed. I've had recurring pain in
left side(between rib cage and hip bone)
ever since. Sometimes the pain floors me
and radiates to my back. I figured it was
my colon, so had a colonoscopy done, but
nothing. Just recently, I went to a
chiropractor, who ofcourse did xrays. He
pointed out some sort of a clip or staple
exactly where my pain has been. Do they
use some sort of clamp to clamp off the
remaining fallopian tube, or is this a
mistake? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
