hi, im 42 i have had heavy periods for
years and wanted to try levlen(
ED)again,havent had it for a couple of
years.it was ok last time i tried it.we
are going away soon on holidays,and im
sick of spending all my period rushing off
to the loo every 20mins!! i took it for 8
days close to the start of my period,my
cycle is usually 5 days, after 9 days
bleeding i stopped taking it thinking it
was mucking around with my hormones...had
two days off the pill and on the 11th day
of bleeding, went to a dr, who promptly
told me off for doing this to my
body!!gave me a stronger pill microgynan
50,told me it will help.two days later and
the bleeding is still going:(
i asked the dr what would happen if i just
waited for my body to settle down itself,
and he said the bleeding would probably
not stop!!i think thats bizarre!8 days of
levlen can do this...that seems too odd to
me.
could this be the start of perimenopause?
