Period type pain after running Posted: 03-12-08 15:43pm
I went for a run this afternoon I have
been training for 10k for a few weeks now
and have been gradually building up
distance.
Today I went for a bit of an increase in
speed. Not a lot but pushed myself a bit.
After I finished running I walked back to
my flat to cool down.
After about 5 mins I started to get like
period pain (not got period and it;s not
due) it got really bad and at one point I
had to sit down on the side of the road as
I thought I was going to pass out.
When I got back to my flat I basically
landed in a heap just inside the fron
door. I stayed there for about 20 min's
before it started to subside then was gone
completly.
I'm 26 and slightly over weight.
Is this normal??

I'm not sure if it's normal, but I've
experienced it before. Once it was so bad
my abdominal area was sore for 3 days
afterwards. And it started during a race.
Needless to say, I didn't do too well.
