Placebo effect and pregnancy Posted: 04-13-08 20:55pm
It's crazy how a womens body can "want to
be pregnant!"! Ya know what I mean!?! I
know that it isn't the right time to have
another baby right now.... we have two
children already, the youngest about to
turn a year, my husband doesn't want
another baby, we just bought a 3 bedroom
house that's just the right size for the
four of us...and the list of reason why we
shouldn't have another baby right now goes
on. BUT, despite all of these...something
inside of me yerns to have just one more
baby. I want an infant to hold and to
breast feed agian.... I want my children
to have another brother or sister. We
weren't financially ready for either of
our first two children...but now if we
were pregnant...we'd be very comfortable
finacially. I also really want to have a
natural water birth... and I want to be
suprised with the sex of a baby. I'm just
so torn!!! I'm not on any birth
control...how ever...we do use condoms.
But, since my last period (which was March
18th) after we've had sex with a condom,
we do it again right after without
one...but he doesn't cum again. I do
realize that there is pre-cum which can
lead to pregnancy... afterall, that is how
our daughter came along. Anyways, the
whole point of this Loooong drug out story
was to ask a simple question. I took a
pregnancy test (the equate brand from
walmart) tonight and it came out negitive
(I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about
that! lol!) Soooo... the question is... is
it really too soon for me to have taken
the test!?! My period is due in 5 days
now. If so...when should I take another
test? I just REALLY want to know:o) I hate
wondering!!! Thanks girls.... hope I
didn't bore ya'll too much!
God bless,
Teresa

It is to early for a reliable result. Some
(very few) women can get a very very faint
line on a test that early. So, it is
possible to get a positive but you should
never believe a negative that early.
Good luck! Let us know how it turns out!!

Thanks so much:o) I know some of the tests
say "5 days before your missed period" but
in reading some of the posts of here, it
seems that 4 days is the norm. It's funny
that you said a very very faint line
because I thought I noticed a very faint
line at first that seemed to quickly
disappear. With both of my children, the
lines were very dark because I wasn't
expecting to be pregnant and tested later
on....so I really wasn't expecting a light
line. Do you think it would be too early
to test again in the morning? Thanks again
for your response... it's hard to talk to
any of my friends or family about this
because I know it will get blown out of
proportion and next thing I know, my mom
(who lives in a diff. state) will be
calling and asking why I'm 6 months
pregnant and didn't tell her! LOL!
Anyways, Hope to hear back from you
soon:o) Any other advice from anyone would
be great too:o)
God Bless,
Teresa

Re: Wanting another baby Posted: 04-14-08 12:42pm
I totally understand wanting another
baby!
My daughter will be 2 in June and for the
last few months I have been contemplating
whether I should have my IUD removed or
not. I really, really, want another baby!
I don't want the age gaps between my
daughter and her sibling to be more than 3
years, so I figure that I need to get
started pretty soon!
The problem is my husband wants me to
wait. I know if I were to get pregnant, he
would be thrilled. He says the child we
already have is difficult enough to take
care of, let alone another baby.
It's different for me though. I would have
5 million babies if I had the uterus and
the money LOL

I promise you having one more IS NOT as
hard as lots of people make it sound! It
was actaully easier for me, once my
daughter (the youngest) got a little bit
older abnd my son (the oldest) was
actaully able to play with her. Now, they
are both occupied with each other and it
makes it alot easier to get things around
the house done. So, tell your hubby that
isn't a good enough excuse lol! Anyways,
yeah... I totally understand about the age
thing. I thought, before I had kids that I
would want them 4 years apart but mine are
alomost 2 years apart and I LOVE IT.
Wouldn't have it any other way. That is
another reason I kinda want to have
another now...so that all three kids will
be spaced the same:o) Well, think hard
about having another baby, then seriously
talk with your hubby about it!
