Placebo pills and no period
Posted: 05-07-08 20:23pm

Hi ladies,

I have been taking Ortho TriCyclen BC pills for 3 weeks and now I've started taking the placebo pills. However, I've been taking them for 4 days and still have not gotten my period. Throughout the course of taking the pills, I have not experienced any spotting whatsoever.

I know that I'm not pregnant because I haven't had sex at all.

If my period doesn't come for the whole duration of taking the placebo pills, should I continue with my next pack? I'm very worried about it!! Sad

Thanks,
Jasmine

Yes, continue taking your pills. You may not get your period until you start your new pack.

Why are you worried if there is no risk of pregnancy? This is one of the great benefits of being on birth control! Lighter, shorter and sometimes non-existent periods! YAY.

Oh it's just because I'm afraid that if I don't get my period it will decrease the chances of me being able to have children in the future, and I really want kids!

Birth control will not decrease your chances of having children in the future.
