hello, 6 weeks ago i had a little girl
unfortunatly she was born with
gastroschisis and had to be whisked away
to special care unit. A week later she had
her op and went sucsessfull. Two days
after that i came to see she was on a
ventilator as she could'nt breath on her
own. Now she is off her ventilator she is
having trouble taking to her milk at the
moment its one step 4ward 2 back. Anyhow
since she was put on a ventilator i have
been suffering these weird sensations in
my head like pins and needles running all
over then comes the constant pressure or
heaviness and then my arms go numb and
heavy. Sometimes the pressure is so
intense i feel as though my head is going
to explode. Im finding it really difficult
to concentrate aswell. i went to the
doctors and they said i have post natal
depression which can trigger phobias and
anxiety. i am still not convinced. i know
this may sound silly bt i am convinced its
a brain tumor or something.

Your symptoms could be due to
post-delivery depression and because you
are so worried about your baby’s health.
You should be aware that it is unlikely
that you are really ill although your baby
is. It seems unlikely that you have a
brain tumor or any other severe disease.
