Q: Pregnant After Abortion ?

I had an abortion February 7th 2008. I received my period afterwards when my hormones started to adjust. Then, two days after my period, my boyfriend & I had sex unprotected. Dumb, I know. Anyway, I was wondering could I be pregnant?

I have a loss of appetite like I had with my first pregnancy, I've been having small headaches, my lower back aches(maybe from standing up at work all day..?), I've felt a little sick too.

BUT, my boyfriend said he didn't come inside of me. & THERE WAS PROOF. It was a TON of sperm all over the place. But, could some possibly gotten inside me & made me pregnant just two days after my period?

Yes it is possible that some sperm would have got inside you and made you pregnant.

You need to wait and see if your period is late and if it is then do a test.

You also really need to get on some kind of birth control that doesn't involve the heat of the moment (you obviously can't trust yourself to use a condom so perhaps pills would be better or the Depo Provera jab?). Please get something sorted out or you can look forward to having lots more abortions in the future! Wink

Your probably NOT pregnant. Since you just had the abortion, it wouldn't be as likely for you to be able to carry it this time. At least that's what my doctor told me. I got pregnant 2 months after my abortion and couldn't carry it. I wouldn't worry about it.

Amber, that isn't entirely true. I'm not sure why your doctor told you that, and I'm sorry s/he did - because it isn't true. Women should NEVER have unprotected sex if they don't wish to become pregnant - even if they've just had an abortion or a miscarriage.

To the OP: at the clinic that did your abortion, did they discuss birth control options with you? Finding the right kind of birth control that works with your lifestyle is a matter of getting into planned parenthood or your doctor. Birth control pills are a good option, condoms & spermacide, and even the depo shot. Birth control is cheaper than abortions and babies.

Good luck.
