Its now 6 days after i had unprotected sex
yesturday i took a home pregnancy test and
it was positive. The ONLY encounter i had
was 5 days before the test. Now the father
says it cannot be his because it wouldnt
of shown up so soon after..hes convinced
that i would of had to be pregnant a
couple of weeks. I have not been with
anyone in about 8 months, I am just as
confused as he is if someone could she d
some light on this situation i would
appreciate it. Is there some type of
imformation he can read that would let him
know that it cant be immpossible to show
up this soon because it did.

It is not impossible but it is rare. I had
a positive test within 3 weeks after
conceiving my son but with my daughter it
was 6 days after having a condom break. DH
was out to sea but when he came home we
had sex and the condom broke. I take a
pregnancy test according to a missed
period, meaning if I miss a period, I take
a test. So, three days after our sexual
encounter with the weak condom, Aunt Flo
was supposed to come knocking. She never
arrived. Thinking her plane might be
delayed, I waited it out for two more
days. Well, still no arrival. So three
days after my missed period, six days
after the encounter, I took a test. And
sure enough, it was positive. I took
another test two weeks later, just to make
sure I was not seeing an evap line or
anything. Still positive. So yes it can
happen but it is very rare and should be
considered a false positive until you
retest a few weeks later. Also, some
hormonal conditions and tumors can cause
false positives. So test in a few weeks.
