Hi Ladies

I have such a bad stomach ache....it happens for a couple of days a week. It's not a low uterus ache, and it doesn't feel like stretching....its up really high right under the middle of my rib cage. It feels like I swallowed poison. It's with me all day and all night and nothing makes it go away.

I didn't take my prenatal vitamin this morning to see if that was the cause, but it still hurts. Could it be the one I took before bed? (I take PregVit, the pills are split into 2 doses, one for the morning and one at night).
It says to take them on an empty stomach. Are they out of their mind??? Show me a pregnant lady that can take a prenatal on an empty stomach and not eat for an hour...and I will give them a medal. So I take mine with food now. Still....I feel soooooo yucky. And it's painful!!!

Is this happening to anyone else? Confused

sounds like indigestion. Or like a really painful gas pain.

that sucks..and it really hurts!!

Talk to your Dr, see what s/he says or suggests!

You don't usually take vitamins on an empty stomach - I wonder why the instructions would say that. In fact, if you google 'prenatal vitamins on an empty stomach' the first few are links to places that say that is hard on your stomach.

Have you tried taking them with food? Does it help? Maybe tums or rolaids would help.

Extremely eHealthy
I take PrimaCare. Which is also a two-a-day prenatal. My dr told me to try taking it on an empty stomach. She also said when I become pregnant it might upset my stomach and to take it with food to see if that helped. She also said that we may need to switch things around to find one that works for me if it is still making me sick.

But (obviously) I haven't had to deal with that yet.

I hope it gets better soon!

Thanks girls!
I've tried taking them with food too....still aches. I have to take a break from them for a day in order for the pain to go away. I will talk to my Dr. Maybe I will switch them up.

acid reflux?
have you been checked for acid reflux?

I was having the same systems a long time ago.. and it escalated even if I took ONE tylenol.

The doctor prescribed me aciphex and the pain minimized dramatically and I asked for something stronger and I got kapidex(get it from walmart with my insurance for 9 dollars for a month supply).. Both are for acid reflux.. the medicine I mentioned above you can get from walmart for 3 dollars a month.

I would just get checked to see if thats your problem. After i learned what it was I discovered it runs quite a bit in my family and now with my once a day easy to swallow pill(the aciphex pills are EXTEREMLY SMALL)
