Last night we had a tough night at home. I
panicked because I thought we had a
propane leak at home, which in turn would
have hurt the twins if I had I breathed it
in. I was so stressed, my heart pounding,
and my blood pressure up. We decided
(after testing it) that the leak was not
leaking and that everything was fine. Yet,
I am worried that after putting the babies
through that much stress for about an
hour, I hurt them. I know I can't worry
about it anymore, but do you think that
the babies are okay? Is it normal for a
pregnant women to go through that kind of
stress and have normal children? Should I
go back to the dr.?

Psychic stress of the mother can’t
damage the fetus. Pregnant women are more
susceptible to stress than non-pregnant
women. There is no need to visit your
gynecologist because of this. You can
visit your gynecologist as scheduled.
