Presence of pus cells (leucocytes) in the
urine sample indicates that you have a
type of urinary tract infection.
Microbiological examination (urine
culture) is required to identify the
infective agent and to find the proper
antibiotic for it. No infective agent was
identified and no indication was given of
which antibiotic was prescribed to you.
Certain antibiotics (like gentamycin, for
example) can be given only by injection.
