Hello, I've had a recurring problem for
several years now in which my left
eustachian tube becomes clogged. This
adversely affects my hearing in that ear;
I can still hear the full frequency
spectrum, but certain frequencies
(primarily the lower midrange frequencies
in the male voice) sound "robotic". As a
musician, this is not only very
disconcerting to me, but directly affects
my ability to work. I've been to an ENT
specialist twice for this issue in the
past and have had a full hearing test,
which concluded that my hearing is was
"normal". This problem reoccurred for me
several days ago. I found the following
article describing a method for using a
neti pot and a steroid nasal spray to
unclog the eustachian tubes, but there
seems to be some confusion over whether
whether this method is safe. Here is the
link:
Could you please review this method and
point out any potential dangers, if they
exist? Thank you!
