Pre-eclampsia is a very serious condition & no doctor should ignore it.. it would be putting both the mother & baby's lives in danger. Did your doctor actually diagnose you with it? If so, you need to get yourself to a hospital.

In normal circumstances, I personally wouldn't expect to be induced until 42 weeks, & even then I'd rather go into labour naturally (I was induced with my first due to medical reasons & it wasn't fun). Your baby is obviously happy in there & he/she will come when they're ready. My sister went into labour naturally at 42 weeks.. some babies just need a bit more time in there. Your due date is only an estimate, after all.

I'm pretty sure sex is fine unless your waters have broken, so I'd say that's your best bet for getting things started.

I agree that sex is safe if your water hasn't broken. If you're really worried about it though, you can try clitoral masturbation. Also try lots of walking.

Have you been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, or do you just think you might have it?

The doctor said its borderline and is not yet full pre-eclampsia ... however that was 4 days ago I was told that. The dr also said I could not have sex because I have begun to dialate he told me it could cause an infection. I hate pubic health dr's they are very slack. And also I went into labour at 24 weeks but it got stopped, the baby has been moving a whole lot less in the last couple of days and she already released the hormone at 24 weeks to begin labour, so I think leaving her in will only create problems. I haven't slept in 72 hours besdies for 2 hours from 5-7am this morning because I am so swollen and sore, I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday because I am feeling so sick yet when I went to hospital they saw me in the corridor due to lack of beds and I think they are just casting me aside because as they told me "We are very busy at the moment and have more patients than our doctor's can manage". I'm so tired and angry and sick. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense I am very zoned out.

That's one of the things I worried about the whole time I was pregnant. I was SO scared I was NEVER ever gonna go into labor and have to wait the full 42 weeks and then they'd induce me.

I'm sorry if that does anything, haha.

Haha yeah its annoying I think that she decided she wont come out now, since she already tried to enter the world at 24 weeks. Yeah being over due with massively swollen legs and getting sicker by tha day is no fun. Thanks I hope she gets out today also!! lol

If you're worried about an infection, you could have your partner wear a condom. And again, there's clitoral masturbation. Here in the US, sex is encouraged right up until you deliver if your water hasn't broken, as long as you're not bleeding or at risk for pre-term labor. Since labor is what you're shooting for, I would recommend sex.

Use a condom and have fun. And remember to walk around. The more you're on your feet, the more pressure your baby's head puts on your cervix. It's not comfortable, but it's your best bet at getting things moving.

Yeah well I heard spicy foods help, which I cannot bare eating under normal circumstances, but I am off to the grocery store to get some spicy things and also to walk around the shops for a few hours then after having a spicy meal I will go swimming at the beach for couple of hours then maybe some more bumpy driving then if that still hasn't made her mad enough to come out I will go home and have sex until it hurts haha. So if come tomorrow I am still pregnant ... I don't want to even finish that sentence.

OK now I can't even feel my tongue I have had that much chilli!!!! NO BABY ... haha I have had sex ... NO BABY ... I have walked around the mall for hours ... NO BABY ... I have come to the conclusion that I will remain pregnant forever!!!

ARGHHHH So tomorrow I get induced!!!!! OMGOSH I'm so funking nervous I can't SLEEP!!! I am getting a cervidil as I haven't started dialating and my cervix is still long! How SCARY ... I keep hearing scary stories abuot being INDUCED!!!!! Sooooo nervous! NEXT time I write I will have my baby!!!
