Posted: 03-10-08 08:12am

I experience frequent clear colourless flum forming in my throat with some irritation. Recently one day a thick patch of blood came as a thick fluid with a fowl smell.
i could not recognise what it could be.
can any one help me here to identify my disease and have proper diagnosis and medications

According to your symptoms (“frequent clear colorless flum forming in the throat”, “thick patch of blood with a fowl smell”, throat irritation) could indicate a possible respiratory infection. More precise location of the infection can be found out after performing diagnostic procedures:
1. Clinical examination – inspection, auscultation;
2. X-ray image of the lungs;
3. Microbiological examination of the phlegm.
You may want to consult your GP, first, and then an internist, if necessary.
